[Green Energy Ring] ACMEPOINT Passes Taipower's First Grid Upgrade Site Scenario Test, Boosting Future Contract Wins

[Reported by Kuo Hung-hui, CTEE, Taipei] Green energy service provider ACMEPOINT (6692) has passed the first site scenario test under Taipower's Grid Resilience Enhancement Program, boosting its prospects for future contract wins.
In late 2022, Taipower proposed the Grid Resilience Enhancement Program, planning to invest a total of NT$564.5 billion over ten years to comprehensively upgrade the existing grid system.
Taipower is actively advancing the Grid Resilience Enhancement Program, aiming to ensure that when the main grid is damaged, regional grids can still supply power independently, reducing outage risk and ensuring stable power for industry and daily life — through "promoting distributed grid engineering," "improving grid reinforcement engineering," and "strengthening system defense capability."
ACMEPOINT noted that while Taipower's program is ambitious, its implementation still faces many challenges. The company's mature power management technology enables real-time monitoring and remote control through its distribution dispatch center, ensuring stable operation of the power system. Its extensive construction experience and integration capabilities were also key to becoming the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractor for this project. During the process, ACMEPOINT successfully planned and installed energy storage systems, diesel generators, and power management systems, and effectively connected them to distribution feeders — ensuring localized power supply in the event of a total blackout, demonstrating strong response and dispatch capability.
Once the regional grid is completed, smart grid technology, smart meters, and real-time monitoring systems can be used to improve automatic grid adjustment, reduce energy waste, and ensure stable power supply. It can also integrate renewable energy such as solar and wind power to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Combined with demand response management, power supply can be dynamically adjusted based on peak or off-peak usage to balance load and save costs; energy storage system applications can also be expanded to address the intermittency of renewable energy and ensure a stable power supply.
